Lowell R. Ricketts
Lowell R. Ricketts is a data scientist for the Institute for Economic Equity at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. At the Institute he regularly conducts economic research on issues surrounding household financial well-being. His research has covered topics including the racial wealth divide, growth in consumer debt, and the uneven financial returns on college educations. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN Money, among other publications.
Prior to joining the Institute, he worked in Center for Household Financial Stability at the St. Louis Fed as a lead analyst. Prior to that, he worked in the Research division of the St. Louis Fed as a senior research associate. Ricketts received a master’s degree in statistics from Washington University in St. Louis as well as a bachelor’s degree in economics with a math emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
