Ana Maria Santacreu is an economic policy advisor in the Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, which she joined in September 2014. Her main areas of research are international trade, macroeconomics, and international finance. She has a Ph.D. in economics from New York University and a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics.
Santacreu’s work has been published in economic journals such as American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Journal of Financial Economics. She is also an associate editor of the European Economic Review and the Canadian Journal of Economics. Prior to joining the Bank, she was an assistant professor in the economics department at INSEAD Business School in France and Singapore.
