St. Louis Fed to Host Annual Minority Networking Event
The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis invites professionals from across the greater St. Louis area to attend its fourth annual Minority Networking Event. The hybrid event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. CT on May 9, 2024. Attendees will have an opportunity to network and learn about a wide variety of career paths at the St. Louis Fed.
The event will feature details about the following topics:
- job openings
- career paths
- workplace culture
- diversity, equity and inclusion
- community development
- internal employee networks
- supplier diversity
"It was great because I got to meet with people outside of the interview process,” said Brooke Loving, who attended the event in 2022 and was later hired as an associate instructional designer at the Bank’s Center for Learning Innovation. “I'm blessed to say it all worked out.”
During the event, in-person attendees will visit information tables and enjoy light refreshments while networking with St. Louis Fed staff. Both virtual and in-person attendees will watch a short presentation about working at the Bank at 6 p.m. CT. Afterwards, all attendees are invited to continue networking until the conclusion of the event.
“Leadership and participation in the Minority Networking Event is a key component of our Division’s continued focus on recruitment, retention and development of top talent,” said Carl White, senior vice president in the St. Louis Fed’s Supervision, Credit and Learning Division and executive sponsor of the Bank’s Serving, Educating, Reaching Veteran Employees (SERVE) employee resource group.
Those wishing to attend in person at the St. Louis Fed, located at Locust Street and Broadway in downtown St. Louis, or virtually must register by May 1.
The St. Louis Fed has been recognized multiple times as a top workplace for its inclusive culture.
