Christian Zimmermann is assistant vice president of research information services in the Research division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, which he joined in May 2011. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in economics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1994 and 1992, respectively.
Zimmermann has published in Journal of Monetary Economics, International Economic Review, European Economic Review, Political Analysis, Journal of Population Economics, and other outlets. He has been associate editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics since 1999. Before joining the St. Louis Fed, he worked at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Bank of Canada, and University of Connecticut.
