High School, College Students Invited to Attend Virtual Women in Economics Symposium
ST. LOUIS — Registration is open for the St. Louis Fed’s virtual Women in Economics conference Feb. 23 and 24. Now in its fifth year, the event focuses on ways women are leading in important areas such as economic policy, as well as healthcare and environmental economics.
Participants will learn about opportunities and gain insights from leaders in the field at the Women in Economics Symposium 2022: Leading the Way in Challenging Times. Sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the online conference will examine how women become significant contributors to the field of economics.

Topics that will be discussed include economic policy in challenging times, healthcare policy, making a difference using environmental economics, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women in the labor force, and how to begin a women in economics club.
