Join us as we hear from experts and build on the work of the book Harvesting Opportunity: The Power of Regional Food System Investments to Transform Communities, released by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the fall of 2017. We will discuss how communities use regional food strategies to advance their economic goals, including models for collaboration between policymakers, practitioners and the financial community. Participants will also explore research, policy and resource gaps that might contribute to the success of regional food systems strategies.
Speakers will include regional and national experts, including keynote speaker John Fisk, director of the Wallace Center at Winrock International.
Participation in this event is free; however, registration is required by Wednesday, Sept. 5, as space is limited. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
