We're delighted to invite you to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis on Friday, Oct. 21, for our first-ever Bring Your Parents to Work Day.
Because your son or daughter works here, we know you must get lots of questions about what it is he or she does and about the Fed in general. We thought we could help make answering those questions easier by bringing you here and letting you find out firsthand. You'll also get a chance to see where your child works, have a tour of the Bank and enjoy a reception in our Inside the Economy® Museum.
Here's the schedule for the event:
|1:30 to 2 p.m.||Arrive, check in and head for the Bank's Gateway Conference Center. (Please note: To minimize congestion in the lobby, we ask that you don't meet your children here; you will be escorted directly to the event.)|
|2 to 2:45 p.m.||Enjoy the first of two short talks: Getting to Know the Federal Reserve, presented by Public Affairs Senior Vice President Karen Branding, or Five Things to Know about the Economy Today, with Research Officer Kevin Kliesen. Feel free to ask questions during the presentations.
|2:45 to 3 p.m.||Light refreshments will be available during a short break.|
|3 to 3:45 p.m.||Switch rooms to hear the other presentation.|
|3:45 to 4:15 p.m.||Your child will meet you in the conference center, and then take you on tour of the Bank or to see where he or she works.|
| 4:15 to 5 p.m.
||Enjoy a reception along with your child in the Bank's Inside the Economy® Museum.|
Click the green "Register Now" button, above, to save your spot. Each employee can invite up to two guests, who can be parents, grandparents, stepparents or someone who is like a parent to them. Once you are registered, you'll be sent additional information about the event and the logistics (like parking and how to get into the Bank) prior to the event. There is no cost to attend.
Please note: Our capacity is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration will close when the event is full or on Oct. 18, whichever occurs first.
Email Darby Alba (Darby.W.Alba@stls.frb.org) in our Public Affairs department with any questions.
We look forward to welcoming you to the St. Louis Fed!
