Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) Information Session for Nonprofits and Banks

Registration for this information session is closed.

Date:  Thursday, June 16, 2016
Time:  2-3:30 p.m. CT
Location: Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
Memphis Branch
200 N. Main St.
Memphis, Tenn. 38103 (map it)

The Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) system is the largest private source of grant money for affordable housing in the U.S. Yet only a small number of banks and nonprofit housing developers pursue FHLB funds each year. Participants at this information session will learn more about FHLB programs and their potential to support community redevelopment programs. Representatives from the FHLBs of Cincinnati and Atlanta will participate, along with banks and practitioners who have successfully partnered to secure funding for affordable housing projects. Topics will include:

  • Programs shared by all FHLBs (e.g., Affordable Housing Program grants and Community Investment Program loans) as well as those that are unique to different banks
  • Successful examples and case histories from the Memphis area
  • Types of programs and projects that are a good fit for FHLB funding
  • Formation of successful bank–nonprofit partnerships

Participation in this event is free; however, registration is required by Monday, June 13, as space is limited.
