The rise of China is one of the most important events in world economic history since the Industrial Revolution of the West. At our next Breakfast with the Fed event, we discuss a radical reinterpretation of the history of the Industrial Revolution as it is understood in the West. We also look at how, in spite of its broken financial and political systems, China has made a spectacular and rapid transformation from an impoverished agrarian society to a formidable industrial superpower with its own Industrial Revolution. Certainly, China's economic viability has significant impacts on the global economy. We are excited to host St. Louis Fed economist, Yi Wen to lead this discussion. We look forward to your joining us for this important conversation.
Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. with the presentation at 8:00 a.m. There is no fee to attend this event, but registration is required. Please register early, as space is limited.
