The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is pleased to present its first Dialogue with the Fed of the 2015 season, “Plunging Crude Prices: Impact on U.S. and State Economies,” with Mine Kuban Yücel, senior vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas where she is an adviser to the president of the Dallas Fed on regional and energy issues. Yücel is a member of the National Association for Business Economics board of directors. In 2011, she was president of the International Association of Energy Economics, an institution with 102 member countries. She is also a past president of the United States Association of Energy Economics.
The Dialogue will be held at the St. Louis Fed at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 in the Bank’s Gateway Auditorium on the 6th floor, where a reception with light refreshments begins at 5:30 p.m. An audience Q&A will follow the presentation, moderated by Julie Stackhouse, senior vice president of the St. Louis Fed’s Banking Supervision and Regulation division. Michael Plante, senior research economist with the Dallas Fed, will also participate. Plante’s research interests include the connections between energy prices and the macroeconomy.
There is no charge for this event, but registration is required by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Please note that seating is limited and fills up quickly, so we recommend registering as soon as possible.
If you arrive at the beginning of the reception, you are invited to tour our new Inside the Economy™ Museum from 5:30-6:15 p.m. The museum is located on the ground floor of the Bank after you enter the building.
