St. Louis Fed aims to connect nonprofits with funders at Investment Connection in Springfield, Mo.
Springfield, Mo. -- The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis invites nonprofit organizations to share their new and existing community development projects with funders interested in lending, investment and service opportunities at the Investment Connection event Thursday, May 17, in Springfield, Mo.
The St. Louis Fed’s new Investment Connection program helps match potential Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) projects in need of an investment, grant, loan or service resources with funding organizations, including financial institutions, corporations and foundations. Investment Connection—pioneered by the Kansas City Fed and now implemented by the St. Louis Fed—brings together the talent and skills of community development staff with the expertise of consumer affairs examiners.
The Springfield event will include several organizations from the area to present CRA-eligible community and economic development project proposals to multiple potential funders. CRA-eligible activities may address affordable housing, community services, workforce development, financial access, neighborhood revitalization, small business development and more.
