Household Debt in America Featured at Memphis Dialogo con la Fed
Carlos Garriga, economist and research officer with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis presented a “Household Debt in America: A Look across Generations over Time” / “La Deuda de Hogares en América: Un Analisis Intergeneracional” as part of the Bank’s Dialogue with the Fed / Dialogo con la Fed series on Nov. 18.
Garriga discussed how the dynamics of consumer debt have been altered by the Great Recession and by shifting cultural and generational demographics. Following the presentation, Don Schlagenhauf, chief economist for the Center for Household Financial Stability at the St. Louis Fed, joined Garriga for a Q&A session in both English and Spanish.
