Louisville's Economic Education Outreach Efforts Recognized

January 15, 2014

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis – Louisville Branch was recently featured in a newsletter from Western Kentucky University’s (WKU) College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Last fall, as part of its ongoing economic education outreach efforts, Louisville Branch Economic Education Specialist Erin Yetter led a presentation on “Teaching Economics Using Children’s Literature.” The workshop, which 26 teachers and WKU undergraduate teacher candidates attended, was offered through a partnership with WKU’s newly reorganized Center for Economics Education.

The Louisville Branch offers a variety of award-winning classroom resources for K-16 educators as they teach about the Federal Reserve, money, banking, economics and personal finance.
