Louisville Branch of St. Louis Fed Recognized as Top Employer

May 13, 2013

Kentucky State University has recognized the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as a "top employer." The Branch is one of three recipients of the award.

Over the past three years, the Louisville Branch has created a successful relationship with KSU, working with interns from the university during the summer months to provide meaningful work experience as a complement to classroom learning.  Participants in the intern program have been inspired to learn more about the Bank and pursue further opportunities.  In fact, an alumnus of the program will soon graduate into a full-time role with the Memphis Branch of the Bank.

"We're honored to receive this award from Kentucky State," said Louisville Branch Regional Executive Maria Hampton.  "The great performance and professionalism of the KSU students has been a strong addition to the overall productivity of the Branch operation.  Every year the quality of the students improves, thanks to the unique career counseling and placement process at Kentucky State."

This is the second award from KSU this year for the Louisville Branch, which was previously recognized as a friend of the university’s business school.  That award acknowledged a partnership between the branch and the business school in producing multiple events.
