ST. LOUIS — The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis announced the following promotions:
Kathy O. Paese was promoted to senior vice president of the Treasury Services Division and product manager of the Treasury Relations Support Office. Paese has worked for the Federal Reserve for 21 years, first at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and, since 1989, at the St. Louis Fed. She has a bachelor of arts in speech communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Matthew W. Torbett was named vice president and deputy product manager of the Treasury Relations Support Office. Torbett joined the Reserve Bank in 1997 and has held a variety of positions in the Financial Management and Cash departments, including stints at the St. Louis Fed's branch offices in Little Rock, Ark., and Memphis, Tenn. He has a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Torbett also attended Barrett Graduate School of Banking at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn.
With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District, which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates state-chartered member banks and bank holding companies, provides payment services to financial institutions and the U.S. government, and promotes community development and financial education.
