Blatteis and Miller Reappointed to St. Louis Fed's Memphis Branch Board; Duckett Joins St. Louis Fed Headquarters Board
Memphis, Tenn. — Charles S. Blatteis, partner in The Bogatin Law Firm, PLC, in Memphis, has been reappointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He is also a member of the boards of directors of the Hispanic Business Alliance Inc., United Way of the Mid-South and Leadership Memphis.
Thomas G. Miller, president of Southern Hardware Co. Inc. in West Helena, Ark., has been reappointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Memphis Branch of the St. Louis Fed. Miller is also a member of the boards of directors of the Helena Health Foundation and the Helena Rotary Club.
Gregory M. Duckett, senior vice president and corporate counsel of Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. in Memphis, Tenn., has been elected to fill the unexpired portion of a three-year term on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He is also a member of the boards of directors of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Tennessee Hospital Association, and a member of the Tennessee Board of Regents.
With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District, which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates state-chartered member banks and bank holding companies, and provides payment services to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
