Barry Z. Cynamon
Barry Cynamon is a research fellow at the Center for Household Financial Stability. His research interests include household consumption and saving decisions and methods for valuing and financing postsecondary education.
His recent projects investigated income inequality and the Great Recession, secular stagnation, and the fragility of U.S. household balance sheets. In addition to his work at the Center, Cynamon is a senior research fellow at the Jain Family Institute and CFO of Better Future Forward, a nonprofit focused on leveling the financial playing field for low-income students.
Cynamon received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
