Among other issues, he will investigate how the nature of employment is changing over time, the role of trade and technology in driving this change, and whether government policy has a role in facilitating the necessary adjustments.
Andolfatto, a vice president in the Research department, has been with the St. Louis Fed since 2009. He holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Western Ontario and a master's in economics from British Columbia, Canada-based Simon Fraser University, where he is a professor.
