Financial issues can affect every aspect of a person's life. Whether they're buying a home or pursuing an education, having access to reliable information, services and products can help people avoid getting scammed or trapped in a cycle of debt.

The Financial Capability and Inclusion series is part of the Exploring Innovation in Community Development webinars from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The webinars will look at novel strategies that organizations are using to provide individuals and families with tools to build financial capability and inclusive financial services that create long-term economic stability.

During the first webinar in the Financial Capability and Inclusion series on Aug. 18, we will focus on strategies that employers are using to provide access to appropriate financial services and to help employees make better money management decisions. Speakers include:

  • Joanna Ain, Senior Policy Manager, Government Affairs, Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED)
  • Katherine W. Brune, First Vice President; Financial & Physical Well-Being Manager, SunTrust Banks Inc.
  • Debra Barnes McGee, Senior Vice President and Director of Minority Business Development, BankPlus
  • Paheadra Robinson, Executive Director, Center for Asset Development (formerly the Coalition for a Prosperous Mississippi)

Participation in this webinar is free; however, registration is required. Register for this session at the Exploring Innovation in Community Development website.
