Time:  2-3 p.m. CT | 3-4 p.m. ET
Location:  Webinar

During this Connecting Communities® webinar, learn about the growing field of U.S. community investing (USCI) and hear key recommendations on how to scale the field – increase the amount of private capital used for community investment. The recommendations come from the newly released report Scaling U.S. Community Investing: The Investor-Product Interface, by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) and the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire.

Participants will learn about two existing USCI models: the Calvert Foundation's Community Investment Note, designed as an intermediary product to provide investor capital for community development; and the Vermont Community Loan Fund, a community development financial institution (CDFI) that adapted its business to gain greater access to investor capital.

Speakers include:

  • Amit Bouri, CEO, Global Impact Investing Network
  • Michael Swack, Faculty Director, Carsey School of Public Policy, University of New Hampshire
  • Justin Conway, Vice President, Investment Partnerships, Calvert Foundation
  • Will Belongia, Executive Director, Vermont Community Loan Fund

Participation in this webinar is free; however, advance registration is required. Register for this session at the Connecting Communities website.
