FRED Interactive: Index Numbers

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures the cost of living and the growth in the CPI is called inflation. In this interactive lesson, students learn to visualize the inflation rate in the United States and to use the CPI to adjust the value of wages for changes in the cost of living.
