Douglas Yarwood has 15 years of field experience as an examiner. While the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) is his favorite area, he also examines institutions for compliance with fair lending, lending and deposit-related laws and regulations. Yarwood has instructed the Federal Reserve System’s CRA Examination Techniques course for the past seven years. Currently he serves as a dedicated examiner developing online learning content for new examiners. Previously, Yarwood worked as an automation analyst with the Federal Reserve, assisting in annual updates to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and CRA data entry software, and in the Washington, D.C., area as an assistant apartment manager specializing in helping residents in HUD’s certification and recertification processes under the Section 8 housing program.
