Douglas Yarwood has 15 years of examination experience. While the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) is his favorite area, he also examines institutions for compliance with fair lending, consumer lending and deposit-related laws and regulations. In addition, Yarwood has taught the Federal Reserve System’s CRA Examination Techniques course for seven years. Previously, he worked as an automation analyst with the Federal Reserve, assisting in annual updates to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and CRA data entry software.
Before joining the Federal Reserve System, Yarwood was a freelance musician in the Washington, D.C., area. Yarwood also worked as an assistant manager for a Section 8 apartment complex, developing his passion for working with programs to benefit low- and moderate-income populations. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and his master’s from the Johns Hopkins University–Peabody Conservatory.
