Riccardo DiCecio is an economic policy advisor and special assistant to the Bank president at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, which he joined in August 2004. His main areas of research interest are empirical macroeconomics and time series econometrics. He received his Ph.D. and master’s degree in economics from Northwestern University in 2004 and 2000, respectively, and a master’s degree in economics from Universitá Commerciale L. Bocconi Milan, Italy, in 1997.
In his position as a special assistant, he advises the president in his monetary policymaker role and provides the president with research support in preparing speeches and presentations. He has published papers in Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, European Economic Review, and Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, among others. He has been serving as an associate editor for the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control since 2013.
