The Steps for the FOMC to Return to Normal Monetary Policy
The Federal Open Market Committee’s plan for moving the stance of monetary policy and the Federal Reserve’s securities holdings back toward normal has drawn considerable attention. In this video, Vice President and Economist Stephen Williamson of the St. Louis Fed discussed the intended steps outlined by the Federal Open Market Committee to return policy to normal when the appropriate time comes.1
