St. Louis Fed Hosts Second Annual Women in Economics Symposium
ST. LOUIS — Women majoring in economics will learn about opportunities and experiences in the field at the St. Louis Fed’s second annual Women in Economics Symposium on Feb. 28, 2019. Women are hugely under-represented in economics. This symposium will allow women studying economics to discuss the issues and opportunities in the field.
The event will offer a review of research and data about women in the economics profession; panels and discussion sessions featuring women from various industries who majored in economics; and unique perspectives from leaders in the economic field.
Speakers:
- Loretta Mester, president and chief executive officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland
- Amanda Bayer, professor of economics at Swarthmore College, and a leading researcher on the topic of diversity in economics
- Kate Warne, principal and investment strategist at Edward Jones
