Senior Vice President
Roy Hendin joined the St. Louis Fed as vice president and deputy general counsel in November 2005, was promoted to senior vice president and general counsel in June 2017 and served in that role through January 2019. In anticipation of his retirement later this year, Mr. Hendin is currently senior vice president of the Legal division and an adviser to the Bank’s general counsel.
Prior to joining the Fed, Mr. Hendin served as general counsel and executive vice president of Belair Asset Management Ltd., a small financial services company, from 1996 to 2005. From 1985 to 1995, he worked for ITT, the last several years as general counsel and senior vice president of ITT Capital Finance, a commercial lending company. Mr. Hendin spent the first few years of his legal career as an associate with Lewis, Rice, Tucker, Allen & Chubb, a St. Louis law firm.
A St. Louis native, Mr. Hendin received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977, and a J.D. degree from The George Washington University National School of Law in 1981.
