Short description: Graphing and averaging while learning GeoFRED

Materials: GeoFRED, poster sized paper or similar material for student groups to present graphs to class
Audience: Middle School

Tip/Tool:
Students use GeoFRED to observe changes in the unemployment rate (by state) over their lifetimes, create graphs using monthly data in small groups, analyze graphs using Beige Books as a resource, present their results to the class, and combine small groups' annual averages to create a graph of the annual changes over time.
