GDP and Pizza Short Modules

In the GDP and Pizza: Economics for Life module, students can learn what GDP (gross domestic product) is, what the components of GDP are, how GDP is measured, and the difference between real and nominal GDP. They can also learn the difference between levels of GDP and percentage change in GDP, what a trend growth rate is, and how GDP data are used in policy decisions.

As an alternative, they can take one or more of three short modules:

This module defines GDP, explains its components, and defines per capita GDP.

GDP: Measurement and Growth

This module explains how GDP is measured, the difference between real and nominal GDP, the difference between levels of GDP and percentage change in GDP, and what a trend growth rate is.

GDP: Policy

This module explains how GDP data are used in fiscal and monetary policy decisions.
