St. Louis Fed Announces 2023-24 Institute for Economic Equity Research Fellows

ST. LOUIS The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has announced a new cohort of eight research fellows selected to conduct research while in residence at the Institute for Economic Equity.

“The research fellow program at the Institute for Economic Equity brings together a tremendous cohort of scholars to examine the obstacles to individuals’ economic potential and how inequities might be reduced,” said William M. Rodgers III, director of the Institute. “The Institute and fellows will share rigorous scholarly research to inform dialogue around achieving an economy where all people can realize their highest potential.”

2023-24 Research Fellows

  • Ngina Chiteji, associate professor, Gallatin and Wagner schools, New York University
  • Jeffrey P. Cohen, professor of finance and real estate, University of Connecticut
  • Heidi Hartmann, president emerita and senior research economist, Institute for Women's Policy Research in Washington, D.C.
  • Alice Louise Kassens, professor of economics, Roanoke College
  • Courtnee Melton-Fant, assistant professor of health systems management and policy, University of Memphis
  • Lina Moe, Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University
  • Alberto Ortega, assistant professor, O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University
  • Rhonda Vonshay Sharpe, president and founder, the Women's Institute for Science, Equity and Race
