St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem was the featured speaker at a Missouri Athletic Club event in downtown St. Louis. He spoke about the role of the Federal Reserve in the St. Louis region during a Q&A moderated by Tom Ackerman, co-anchor of “Total Information A.M.” and sports director at radio station KMOX.
President Musalem answered questions regarding the role Reserve banks—including the St. Louis Fed—play in setting the nation’s monetary policy; the importance of Fed independence; the regional economy; and his views on St. Louis-style pizza.
More than 300 community and business leaders attended the MAC Speaker Series event.
