During a Memphis, Tenn., visit, St. Louis Fed President Alberto G. Musalem toured the FedEx Memphis World Hub. He also joined a conversation with business leaders hosted by the Greater Memphis Chamber Chairman’s Circle. They explored how The Digital Delta coalition is using a tech-driven economic development strategy and positioning the region as an innovation hub.

President Musalem heard from nonprofits and others working to improve the lives of people in Memphis. He toured Northside Square, the redevelopment of the former Northside High School into a community hub that will include affordable housing units, as well as spaces for workforce and technical training and other community services.

He also spoke with members of the Memphis Asset Funders Network and heard how they are aligning other philanthropic and community organizations to help support workforce development, expand affordable housing and strengthen the impact of philanthropy in Memphis.
