Federal Reserve System and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors
The 2014 Community Banking in the 21st Century National Survey Data
Conducted as part of the 2014 Federal Reserve/Conference of State Bank Supervisors annual community banking research conference, the Community Banking in the 21st Century national survey was administered by state bank commissioners and the CSBS in 38 states during the spring and summer of 2014. More than 1,000 community bankers participated, providing insights to help quantify the challenges facing community banks and how they are responding to changing market conditions. A summary analysis of the survey results can be found in the 2014 conference town hall publication, Community Banking in the 21st Century: Opportunities, Challenges and Perspectives.
The data files, available in Excel and SAS formats below, represent raw observations from the survey and are posted for researchers to use and analyze for their own purposes. To preserve the anonymity of the respondents, most of the demographic variables have been redacted.
