Mike Kraus joined the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in 2019. He currently serves as senior vice president and chief information officer and leads the St. Louis Fed’s Technology Division, overseeing the organization’s central technology function and software engineering services for the Treasury Operations Division and other business areas.

Prior to joining the St. Louis Fed, Kraus was a staff vice president with Centene Corp., a Fortune 100 managed health care provider. He also helped lead Grady Health System’s enterprise IT transformation. Kraus began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led and implemented numerous digital initiatives and a large-scale IT initiative focusing on increasing value delivery. His prior experience spans leading teams and partnering with business functions to deliver business-aligned outcomes in a secure, resilient and cost-effective manner.

Kraus received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, studying psychology and computer information sciences. He serves on the planning board of Swim Across America, a nonprofit agency dedicated to hosting charity swims that fund local cancer research and patient programs.
