The final guidance explains supervisory expectations for savings associations in conducting due diligence to determine whether a corporate debt securities investment satisfies the creditworthiness requirements of the final rule published simultaneously with this guidance (77 FR 43151). The FDIC's proposed guidance was published in the Federal Register on December 15, 2011 (76 FR 78090).
