Out for CommentAgencies Propose Rule on Internet Gambling ActInternet gambling businesses would not be able to accept payments from credit cards, electronic funds transfers and checks under a new rule proposed by federal agencies. The proposed rule, which implements the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act passed by Congress in 2006, would require U.S. financial institutions to set polices that are reasonably designed to prevent payments being made to gambling businesses in connection with unlawful Internet gambling.
