Fed to Offer Shared CDC Weekend Testing

The St. Louis Fed will offer the first shared Century Date Change (CDC) weekend testing Sept. 18 and 19. On Sept. 18, a Friday, the Fed will simulate processing 12/31/1999 data. On Sept. 19, the Fed will simulate processing 1/3/ 2000 data. During this weekend, the following applications will be available for testing: the Account Balance Monitoring System (ABMS), Check, Funds Transfer, FedACH, Integrated Accounting System (IAS), National Book-Entry System (NBES), Treasury Automated Auction Processing System (TAAPS), Trading Room Automated Processing System (TRAPS) and Treasury Tax and Loan (TT&L).

Then, from Oct. 9-11, the Fed will offer shared testing for Leap Year 2000 dates, simulating 2/28/2000, 2/29/2000 and 3/1/2000 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The same applications will be available, except for TAAPS and TRAPS. Also, Accounting Statements will not be produced during the Leap Year 2000 test.

CDC Bulletins No. 3 and No. 4, and their respective Eighth District supplements, contain testing schedules and other helpful testing information. Also, the Test Request form must be sent to Electronic Access Support at least two weeks in advance of the desired test date.
