St. Louis Fed Web Site Recognized as One of "Best Free Reference
Sites"
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — An economic information web
site created and maintained by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis'
Research Division Library has been recognized as one of 26 "Best
Free Reference Sites" by the Machine Assisted Reference Section
(MARS) of the American Library Association. The MARS group studies
virtual reference services and other types of new technology that
affect library reference and research departments.
Called Liber8 (http://liber8.stlouisfed.org/),
the site offers centralized access to free online economic materials,
databases and web sites for international, national and regional
information, highlighting current economic research and indicators.
MARS called the site "an indispensable portal to economic information."
