Â
- What is the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)?
- What are eligible activities under CRA?
- What does CRA really mean in Arkansas?
CRA 101 for Communities will provide answers to these questions. The meeting is divided into two parts. The first half of the meeting will present background information about CRA, including eligible activities and how banks are reviewed for compliance under CRA . The second half of the meeting will cover the three tests under CRA and allow participants to test their knowledge with case studies. The meeting will conclude with a panel of bankers from each of the three bank categories who will help those attending understand the banks in their communities, where the banks fall in the regulatory scope and how to work more effectively with banks.
This meeting will be of interest to community and economic developers, downtown partnership and preservation groups, regional development organizations, and anyone in community development who seeks financial institution support for their projects.
