There is a lot of bank financial information available to you over the Internet. Two helpful sites in particular are the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC). From these sites, you can obtain a copy of the Report of Condition and Income, also known as the Call Report, or a Uniform Bank Performance Report (UBPR), respectively. You may want to print the directions below for reference the first time you search for a bank report.

Obtain a Call Report from the FDIC web site
Obtain a UBPR from the FFIEC web site

Obtain a Call report from the FDIC website

Locate your bank’s information

Enter your bank’s name and state, or FDIC number if you know it (see graphic image to the right), then click the “Findbutton.

This should take you directly to your bank’s filed financial information.

If a list of banks appears, simply locate your bank and double click on it.

Select the reports you would like to view:

By scrolling to the bottom of the page, you should be able to locate a list of Call Report information as shown in the image.

Clicking on the first item listed will bring up your bank’s income statement (Schedule RI).

If you click on the sixth item in the list (Schedule RC), you will get a copy of your bank’s balance sheet.

Both reports can be printed by using the print feature for your internet browser.

After you look at the balance sheet and income statement, you might look at some of the other information listed. Even if some of the statements are unfamiliar, the FDIC site serves as a good example of the extensive amount of information available on the Internet.
