Mike Stevens, senior executive vice president of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS), presents the findings from a series of town hall meetings held with community bankers across the country. These meetings, held jointly by the CSBS and the Federal Reserve, allowed bankers to share the opportunities and challenges facing community banks, discuss the characteristics important to successful bank management and boards of directors and suggest additional areas of research that would be helpful and important for the viability of community banking in the future.
